My Tags are HERE!

 We were all hanging out at home doing our own things. I was busy doing some laundry, Christian was making some lunch, Brooklyn was upstairs in the loft, and Kaitlyn was flitting about doing small little tasks here and there. Christian finished up his lunch and headed off to snag the mail for the day like he does on most days. (Which I am grateful for because the key for our mailbox is fickle and I hate trying to fight it)

Christian put the mail on the island in the kitchen and Kaitlyn started to go through it. She handed me some stuff to look at and dispersed a package to herself and then immediately told me to close my eyes. So of course, I did. When I opened them this is what I saw...

Her name tags are HERE!!! Holy crap. Things are starting to get real real around here. I realize we have only 13 days left but I am not so sure I am this ready. She is literally glowing in this photo. I took it on my phone and just so you know, I didn't even cry when I saw them. I think it was just more shock than anything. 

She held onto these small black badges and her and Christian looked them over real good. There are 3 that arrived and she is content with all of them. I cannot believe that we will have a missionary in our home in less than 2 weeks!

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I am excited to be here with you this morning. Not because I up here speaking but because we are here to listen to Kaitlyn report on her mission which means she is actually home! Thank you all for being here and for the support you have shown her throughout her time away. I also want to say hello to Elder Garcia who is hopefully able to have good enough wi-fi to join us today in Africa.  When I posed the question to Kaitlyn who she wanted to have speak with her I knew deep down she wanted Brooklyn but I also knew that Brooklyn had told both missionaries that if either of them asked her to talk she would simply not come to church that day at all and she was fine to miss their homecomings. Week 1 Email: I have a new Mom

Well now it's Sister Garcia ;) I'm officially a missionary, which is so crazy to think about! During the online MTC my Pdays are Saturdays so you can expect an update from me every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. The CTM has been amazing so far! :) If I'm being honest I was super nervous to start and I didn't really know what to expect from it, but I'm so glad I've been able to do my training at home. My schedule that I was sent was all in Brazil time and it said that most of my classes were to start at 8:30am. I don't know if any of you know this, but Brazil is 4 hours ahead of Utah, you can do that math, it was supposed to be early! Luckily it's been changed and now my classes don't start until 9:30am Utah time. They like to keep us busy that's for sure! I already have to memorize and learn cer...
