Kaitlyn looks to be happy in this round of photos from today. I love love the cute jumper she is wearing and can't wait to hear where she found that one at. I also love that you can still see so much of who she is in her personality in all of these as well. Love you Sister Garcia!

Trying to stay positive even though they just found out their area has been cancelled
 

I am not 100% sure if the area is being cancelled because of Covid or if it is the mission itself. This will be interesting to talk to Kaitlyn about when we get to chat on Monday. I asked Tyler what it would mean back when he was serving and he said that an area would be cancelled by the mission so I guess we lean more towards that. In any sense, I am sure this is hard for Kaitlyn as I know she is falling in love with where she is and the friends she is currently working with.

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I am excited to be here with you this morning. Not because I up here speaking but because we are here to listen to Kaitlyn report on her mission which means she is actually home! Thank you all for being here and for the support you have shown her throughout her time away. I also want to say hello to Elder Garcia who is hopefully able to have good enough wi-fi to join us today in Africa.  When I posed the question to Kaitlyn who she wanted to have speak with her I knew deep down she wanted Brooklyn but I also knew that Brooklyn had told both missionaries that if either of them asked her to talk she would simply not come to church that day at all and she was fine to miss their homecomings. Week 1 Email: I have a new Mom

Well now it's Sister Garcia ;) I'm officially a missionary, which is so crazy to think about! During the online MTC my Pdays are Saturdays so you can expect an update from me every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. The CTM has been amazing so far! :) If I'm being honest I was super nervous to start and I didn't really know what to expect from it, but I'm so glad I've been able to do my training at home. My schedule that I was sent was all in Brazil time and it said that most of my classes were to start at 8:30am. I don't know if any of you know this, but Brazil is 4 hours ahead of Utah, you can do that math, it was supposed to be early! Luckily it's been changed and now my classes don't start until 9:30am Utah time. They like to keep us busy that's for sure! I already have to memorize and learn cer...
