Week 20 Email: The One With Baking

Subject: The One With Baking

Olá todos! Como vocês estão? I hope that you all had the best week and that you're enjoying some fun Memorial Day activities today! :) The work this week was a little slow, but what can ya do? Just keep pushing! This week was full of so many treats and lots of working out to burn off those calories haha! I hope you enjoy! Here's my highlights;)

- Sister Parrish and I went and got some Boba last pday and man was it good! Definitely missed having that for the last little bit

- We tried to make some overnight oats, we need some improvement but we all have to start somewhere ;)

- Sister Parrish and I had a little picnic for weekly planning and enjoyed the nice weather here in Rhode Island

- We went on a little walk and found this super cute sign that has a pretty great reminder on it ;) the picture is attached!

- We had some fun baking and made homemade Boba one night and they turned out pretty okay for a first try ;)

- We also tried to make mochi, but that one didn't work out as well as we had hoped haha!

- As a Sunday treat and to keep the baking trend going, we made some homemade peanut butter cups! And of you've made it this far, please go eat a regular peanut butter cup for me;)

Spiritual Thought

This week I've been thinking a lot about what it takes to be a follower of Jesus Christ. There's the basics of just following the commandments, loving and living as He would, and having faith in Him. However, sometimes I feel like we get so caught up in this idea of being a perfect person and following Christ. That's not the case at all! (Lucky for us!) Some of Christ's very best friends and closest followers, were some of the most imperfect people, Matthew, Simon, Peter, James, John, even Mary Magdalene. To truly be a follower of Christ, we can follow the example of the disciples. All we have to have is a desire! A desire to follow Him, a desire to serve Him, a desire to EVENTUALLY be like Him. Being a follower of Christ does not mean we must be perfect, it means that we have the desire and faith in Him
