10 Months

10 Months!!


It is downright NUTS that Sister Garcia has been a missionary now for 10 full months! On one hand I swear it was just yesterday she was being set apart as a missionary and then it was a hot second ago that we dropped her at the airport to head off to the MBM. But on the other hand it feels like it has been that long in that we miss having her in our home and the bubbly personality and fun that she brings too. These first 10  months have literally flown by and I am hopeful that the next 8 will do the same. I wonder if Sister Garcia is hoping for them to go by quickly or if she is more holding onto every single moment of every single day a little tighter knowing that there is simply no control over how fast things are going. I will have to remember to ask her when I talk to her on Monday. :)

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I am excited to be here with you this morning. Not because I up here speaking but because we are here to listen to Kaitlyn report on her mission which means she is actually home! Thank you all for being here and for the support you have shown her throughout her time away. I also want to say hello to Elder Garcia who is hopefully able to have good enough wi-fi to join us today in Africa.  When I posed the question to Kaitlyn who she wanted to have speak with her I knew deep down she wanted Brooklyn but I also knew that Brooklyn had told both missionaries that if either of them asked her to talk she would simply not come to church that day at all and she was fine to miss their homecomings. Week 1 Email: I have a new Mom

Well now it's Sister Garcia ;) I'm officially a missionary, which is so crazy to think about! During the online MTC my Pdays are Saturdays so you can expect an update from me every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. The CTM has been amazing so far! :) If I'm being honest I was super nervous to start and I didn't really know what to expect from it, but I'm so glad I've been able to do my training at home. My schedule that I was sent was all in Brazil time and it said that most of my classes were to start at 8:30am. I don't know if any of you know this, but Brazil is 4 hours ahead of Utah, you can do that math, it was supposed to be early! Luckily it's been changed and now my classes don't start until 9:30am Utah time. They like to keep us busy that's for sure! I already have to memorize and learn cer...
