Subject: Already Saturday?

Happy Saturday! I cannot believe it is already the end of the week! I think flying home on Monday messed me up pretty good with what day of the week it was all week. How has your week been? How was the mission tour? Did you get a chance to speak to President Nordfelt about Thai's husband? What is the situation there and how do you guys plan to move forward?

We have had a low key week around home. B is in the weird 'it's Fall but not Thanksgiving Break or Christmas Break time but I am ready for a few days off of school' plus it was the end of the quarter this week so it is just off you know? She did finally say this morning that she is excited for Christmas. She hasn't made much mention of it until today so I was happy to hear that. I am just about done shopping for her. She is getting the usual...ripped skinny jeans, some graphic tees, a couple of hoodies, some joggers, and some shoes. The shoes she wanted were NOT cheap so her package count is quite low this year. Which is fine. She will be thrilled and I am grateful it isn't that she expects huge things. I went to Pilates on Tuesday and at 43 minutes into my 50 minute class I felt my hamstring pop and the others in class along with the instructor heard it....so that was super not cool and I am just today finally feeling good enough to go up and down stairs. I took the next week off of Pilates so hopefully I can get it sorta healed enough to get back to it. Totally not cool.

Tyler got up at 4:45 this morning to go pheasant hunting with Jason Miller so I have been up for a while. I took full advantage of it though! I got my Fall decorations down and put away. I wanted a break before we bust out Christmas here in a couple of weeks. It is nice to have tops of furniture all clean I won't lie! Like a small detox you know? Tyler has been on a kick all week too of letting me know just how much 'stuff' we have accumulated here in the last 7 years. Like the kitchen cabinets and drawers are all full (true), the laundry room is full (again true), the office is bursting at the seams (1000% true), and I added my own closet to this list as well. Yesterday I tackled the office and holy mol! The sheer amount of stuff I had in cabinets and drawers on my desk was embarrassing. I was happy to clean it out even though it seriously took my all day. And I still have some boxes that need to go downstairs but I will wait for the first of the week to get that done. After I was done with the Fall stuff I went for my closet. It was only 6:10am but 13 bags later (yes 13!!!) I felt SO much better and disgusted at what has accumulated in there that I don't wear or use. I was in line to do a drop at the DI by 9:45 and I am glad Tyler was gone otherwise he would have lost his ever loving mind on me and how much I got rid of. :/ I have laundry going now, B is down at the Millers, Tyler just got home, and I have a few other things I still want to finish before my day is over. :) We will see how that all plays out.

I have been thinking this week about your day to day and how things compare so I have some questions for you. :) When it rains in Brazil does it smell the same as it does when it rains at home? If not, what is the difference? I love your pictures you put on the drive of the sky but I wonder if the sky at home is something you miss or have you fallen in love with the Brazil sky more? Has Sister Da Mata done much traveling in Brazil? Is she familiar with your area or has she mostly just stayed in Sao Paulo where she is from? I wonder if it is easy for her to travel? Last...I am curious to know if you both were able to make chocolate chip cookies?! I have been forgetting to ask you so I wrote it down on my list and then added to it throughout the week. :) I would love to hear your thoughts on these.

I love you and I am so proud of you. Keep doing all the great things and bringing your happy to those around you. I hope you have a great Sunday tomorrow and I hope you know that I love you more than words will say.

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I am excited to be here with you this morning. Not because I up here speaking but because we are here to listen to Kaitlyn report on her mission which means she is actually home! Thank you all for being here and for the support you have shown her throughout her time away. I also want to say hello to Elder Garcia who is hopefully able to have good enough wi-fi to join us today in Africa.  When I posed the question to Kaitlyn who she wanted to have speak with her I knew deep down she wanted Brooklyn but I also knew that Brooklyn had told both missionaries that if either of them asked her to talk she would simply not come to church that day at all and she was fine to miss their homecomings. Week 1 Email: I have a new Mom

Well now it's Sister Garcia ;) I'm officially a missionary, which is so crazy to think about! During the online MTC my Pdays are Saturdays so you can expect an update from me every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. The CTM has been amazing so far! :) If I'm being honest I was super nervous to start and I didn't really know what to expect from it, but I'm so glad I've been able to do my training at home. My schedule that I was sent was all in Brazil time and it said that most of my classes were to start at 8:30am. I don't know if any of you know this, but Brazil is 4 hours ahead of Utah, you can do that math, it was supposed to be early! Luckily it's been changed and now my classes don't start until 9:30am Utah time. They like to keep us busy that's for sure! I already have to memorize and learn cer...
