Bom dia!!
I hope you all are doing well and having the best day! This week was absolutely insane to say the least haha! Not only that but we got transfers news this week...but I can't make it that easy for you guys;) Here's the highlights!!

- We had Zone Pday on Monday and some Elders made us Churrasco :) It wasn't half bad and no one got sick so I'll call that a win!
- We met an interesting man on the side of the road this week that told Sister Da Mata and I that we were very cute and wanted to know if we could play checkers with him. Pretty sure he was a little drunk at 11:30am but hey, everyone has agency haha! ;)
- We had lunch this week at a self service buffet and I decided it's going to be pretty weird to not have rice and beans for every meal
- Mayara is doing amazing! Please keep her in your prayers too :) They seriously work such huge miracles!
- We had a virtual Zone Conference and we got to hear from the presidency of my mission. They always have such good analogies and I learn so much from them
- Sister Da Mata taught me how to make coxinha! It was quite the task but totally worth it! I'm gonna be a Brazilian cooking pro here soon ;)
- Sister Da Mata hit 10 months as a missionary and we found the only place in Carpina that sells sushi to celebrate
- Our sweet members had a huge lunch planned for us on Sunday because of Sister Da Mata's birthday (that's tomorrow!) and we have transfers this week. They were so sweet and wanted to thank us for the work that we've done here :)

Spiritual Thought
This week I was rereading some of the General Conference talks from this past October (this is your reminder to keep studying them ;) Elder D. Todd Christofferson said something that really stood out to me. "Because They love you, They do not want to leave you 'just as you are'. Because they love you, They want you to have joy and success. Because They love you, They want you to repent because that is the path to happiness." The love of God is something so perfect and so grand. This quote really stuck out to me because so many people ask 'Why do bad things happen?' or 'Why is this happening to me?' Everything has a reason but everything also has a motive -> the love of God. He wants us to grow. He wants us to learn. It's easier said than done, but next time you have a big trial or you want to know 'the why' just remember that your LOVING Heavenly Father wants you to progress, it's nothing personal ;)

If you're still reading this email, PARABENS!! You're the real ones ;) This week we have transfers and I'm gonna be training! Presidente Nordfelt called and I'll be training a new American sister here in Carpina! I'm super sad to have Sister Da Mata leaving but she's gonna be an awesome trainer too :)

I hope you all have an incredible week! Let me know if there's anything that I can do for you guys :)

Amo vocês!

Beijos,
Sister Garcia
