Pdaysssssss

This girl has her hands full to say the least! Holy cow she is busy. Being an STL has proved to try her hand at patience but she is handling it all with grace and dignity. Transfer news was this week and she is staying in Torreao with Sister Scioli! Wahoo! To say she is thrilled is an understatement. They work well together and they are both just so happy.

Sister Garcia had her first Mission Leadership Committee (MLC) meeting this week. She was a little nervous because it meant the day was spent in President and Sister Nordfelt's home. She says when she gets there it makes her feel like she has done something wrong, even though she knows she hasn't. Funny but I can see that too. MLC consists of Zone leaders and STL's and they get together to come up with goals and plans for the mission. Sister Garcia said they focused a lot on 'how we can help' in areas that are struggling but also trying to find out what the struggles are and why they are happening. She really enjoyed her time and what she learned and she loves the Spirit that is always in attendance as well.

Sister Garcia and Sister Scioli have a broken fridge. Yep...a broken fridge. The power had been going out and coming back on and well somewhere along the line it must have tripped the circuit or something just enough because there isn't an outlet in their apartment that makes it so it will work. That means all of their food, anything frozen, and just day to day eating has come into play. Thankfully they have a member they can call and he came by to look at it. He confirmed it needs to be replaced so they are hopeful that will get taken care of sooner than later for them. The hard part is that I guess it was brand new just in December! That has to be so frustrating.

Sister Garcia continues to work with lots of friends and keeps pushing hard for them to fall in love with the goodness the Gospel can bring if they will allow it. She has lots of new referrals coming in from their social media work and ads they have been doing and she is loving that. Social media in Brazil is starting from the ground up unlike in Boston where it was already going and thriving. That is tricky for her but she is making it happen and starting to see the rewards of time spent there.

Sister Garcia has IN PERSON interviews this week with President Nordfelt as well. She looks forward to interviews and what advice and direction he gives so she is of course stoked about this week.

Life seems to be moving along at a super rapid pace for her in Brazil right now. She is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and does not want to leave any stone un-turned. She continues to work hard and do all she can in each moment she is given. I have zero doubt that these next 6 weeks of this transfer will go any differently.

Keep up all you are doing. Never forget all you are capable of. Always remember I love you to the moon and back,
Mom
