Friends to say "Welcome Home!"

I thought it would be a good idea to invite some close friends to welcome Kaitlyn home the night she got here and host a pool/bbq party in the backyard. Where I am sure at the time it all sounded good, and even Kaitlyn agreed, hindsight says 'not so much'. The poor girl was so tired and so emotionally spent with what life has handed her, it would have been better to have just given her the evening to reconnect and spend time here at home with us. 

Kaitlyn was a good sport and was happy to see Brynlee, Bryson, Parker, the Millers, and even Chad and Bronson stopped by. We didn't keep people long and Kaitlyn was able to spend I think 'just enough' time with each of them before she was ready to call it a night. I am grateful for good friends and people in life that were willing to be here for her to welcome her home. 

Now!...off to get some sleep already!

Good morning Brothers and Sisters. I am excited to be here with you this morning. Not because I up here speaking but because we are here to listen to Kaitlyn report on her mission which means she is actually home! Thank you all for being here and for the support you have shown her throughout her time away. I also want to say hello to Elder Garcia who is hopefully able to have good enough wi-fi to join us today in Africa.  When I posed the question to Kaitlyn who she wanted to have speak with her I knew deep down she wanted Brooklyn but I also knew that Brooklyn had told both missionaries that if either of them asked her to talk she would simply not come to church that day at all and she was fine to miss their homecomings. Week 1 Email: I have a new Mom

Well now it's Sister Garcia ;) I'm officially a missionary, which is so crazy to think about! During the online MTC my Pdays are Saturdays so you can expect an update from me every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. The CTM has been amazing so far! :) If I'm being honest I was super nervous to start and I didn't really know what to expect from it, but I'm so glad I've been able to do my training at home. My schedule that I was sent was all in Brazil time and it said that most of my classes were to start at 8:30am. I don't know if any of you know this, but Brazil is 4 hours ahead of Utah, you can do that math, it was supposed to be early! Luckily it's been changed and now my classes don't start until 9:30am Utah time. They like to keep us busy that's for sure! I already have to memorize and learn cer...
